Hope Charities provides direct financial assistance in many different ways. In 2020 our programs distributed over $306,000 to patients and caregivers in direct funding for individuals and families in a crisis caused by a bleeding disorder. We are working hard to find resources, and this year we believe we will be able to distribute even more financial support.
Programs change each year and now more than ever people need better guidance with financial assistance. This training is designed to help you learn more about the latest updates to Hope programs and additional resources. By completing this annual training your referral will receive priority review.
This two-hour training session will be held live via Zoom video conferencing and will provide an opportunity for interactive question and answer. If you attended our last Qualified Training in July of 2020, you are not required to attend this session to maintain your status. However, if you plan on submitting referrals in 2021, it is recommended that you attend at least one of the two sessions we offer this year in order to improve your referral experience and potential outcome.
We will cover topics like how HOPE determines direct funding requests for utilities, housing, communication, transportation, food, clothing, medical expense, medical equipment, insurance premiums, co-payments. In addition, we will share information on outside resources for needs such as dental, transitional living, assistive technology, disaster relief, public health plans, and section 8 housing.
