Ana SantosAna Santos se desempeña como medico especialista en
nutrición y Diabetes desde el ano 2012. Su objetivo principal se basa en educar y concientizar a la población acerca de la importancia de una buena alimentación junto con hábitos de vida saludables. La Dra Santos ha escrito varios artículos sobre salud y nutrición, entre los que se destacan “Tu Salud, mas que una infusión “ publicado en el 2018 por la revista Bleeding Times. Ana tiene dos hijos con Hemophilia y es voluntaria y miembro activo del comité latino del NYCHC desde el ano 2016. A raíz de la necesidad que se ha visto tiene la comunidad con desordenes de la coagulación de reconocer la alimentación como parte vital del mantenimiento de salud, la Dra ha preparado una presentación con el titulo “Nutrición en trastornos Hemorrágicos” que explica de manera especifica cuales son los nutrientes y la forma de alimentarse mas adecuada para estas personas; a la misma vez da a conocer cuales ingredientes en los alimentos tienen la capacidad de aumentar las probabilidades de sangrado y DRA ANA SANTOS DE JIMENEZ que hacer para convertir los alimentos en aliados para sentirnos mas saludables y sanos. Cassandra starksCassandra is a young women living with Hemophilia B. As a pole vaulter in college, Cassandra had to overcome injuries due to bleeds, but didn’t let her bleeding disorder get in the way of her athletic goals. Over the course of her college career, she improved her personal best to set both the indoor and outdoor school record and earned two NAIA All-American plaques. She graduated college with her Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Chemistry minor. Cassandra provides TaijiFit instruction, is an enthusiast about the mind-body connection and a firm believer of the power of a healthy mind. Cassandra lives in Colorado with her partner Paul and their 1-year old son, Clyde.

Mark ZatyrkaMark Zatyrka is previously the CEO and Part-Owner of Insa, a multi-state vertically integrated medical and adult-use cannabis operator. Prior to Insa, Zatyrka was an owner of a national specialty pharmacy, American Homecare Federation (AHF), that provided home infusion anti-hemophilic factor coast to coast. Zatyrka lives with severe hemophilia A. He co-founded the Connecticut Hemophilia Society, and has served on several non-profit boards of directors including the Western Massachusetts AIDS Foundation, Save One Life, and the Fund for Genetic Equity. He has also been a public speaker and camp counselor for children living with chronic illnesses at Paul Newman’s The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, New England Hemophilia Association’s Family, and Camp Heartland. Zatyrka has also been an outspoken advocate for patient rights on a state level in New England as well as on a national level in Washington DC.

Eric Castillo IIIEraclio (Eric) Castillo III, was born and raised in South Texas in a small border area known as the Rio Grande Valley. He was diagnosed with Severe Hemophilia A shortly after his first birthday. He was raised in the Hemophilia community, attending local foundation and national events with his family and also attended summer camp. Growing up with a bleeding disorder he refused to let that define him. He realized how important it was to have a voice in his community and for other community members. He started to advocate and soon found himself working in the industry to better assist anyone with a bleeding disorder, to help improve their quality of life. Currently Eric is the West Coast Regional Manager and is also the Hispanic Community Affairs and Program Director for Drugco Health Specialty Pharmacy.

Dr. Michael ZolotnitskyDr. Mike was born in Italy, grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and currently resides in Morganville, NJ. He received his doctorate in Physical Therapy from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA in December of 2014. Dr. Mike is currently leading our neurological department to treat various conditions including, but not limited to concussions, MS, stroke, and Parkinson’s Disorder. Dr. Mike is attaining his vestibular certification to further improve complaints of dizziness, headaches, and all balance dysfunction. He prides himself on performing high level balance activities to include walking with eyes closed, uneven surfaces, and loves to incorporate boxing to further challenge his patients. In addition to neurological treatment, Dr. Mike utilizes the Mulligan Concept to perform pain-free physical therapy that immediately improves function. He offers a personalized aquatic therapy program for indoor and outdoor pool settings. Dr. Mike has completed three half marathons in one year and offers running tips as well as gym strategies. In addition, he is a national speaker for the Hemophilia community, speaking to various groups in the bleeding disorder family.

Alexandra AbreuServes as a program manager at Community Catalyst where she supports grassroots advocacy groups to influence policy changes in the health care system that reflect the needs of low-income and communities of color. As a woman of color living with VWD, Alexandra is interested in ensuring that the needs of vulnerable communities are at the front-line of health care systems, policy, and advocacy groups.
She has a background in immigration reform, policy analysis, civic engagement, and public health. She interned and is a speaker with the Hemophilia Federation of America and serves on the Board of Directors of the Hemophilia Association of Puerto Rico. In addition, she has been involved in international development efforts by working with vulnerable communities in Latin America, and with USAID in the Middle East. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she is passionate about giving back to communities of color, advocating for human rights, and dismantling systemic racism. Alexandra holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Latin American and Caribbean Studies from the State University of New York at New Paltz and a Masters of Social Work in International Welfare and Social Policy from Columbia University School of Social Work. Chad R.He is the CEO of a Public Utility and Director of Public Works. He lives in Milton, Wisconsin and has been involved in the bleeding disorders community since childhood starting with hemophilia camp. He loves backpacking, trail hiking, and photography.

Grace HernandezShe is a physical therapist and works at Children's Hospital of Orange County and Center for Inherited Blood Disorders. She is located in Orange, California and has spent more than 20 years working with people in the bleeding disorders community. She loves to ski, horseback ride, and has even visited the Temple of Kukulcan at Chichen Itza!
